Technician – Desktop & User Support

About the job

JOB PURPOSE

Responsible to provide first and second line support for Microsoft and business applications to all IT customers and performs a variety of basic and advanced technical helpdesk support duties.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (Include the following. Other duties may be assigned)

Performs the activities, may include but not limited to:

• Provide level 1 support and resolve problems to the end user’s satisfaction.
• Installs and configures computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
• Log tickets for requests received by phone, e-mail and face-to-face to Incident management system and process based on priority.
• Escalate requests/issues to the support group or other IT teams using incident management system.
• Talks to clients and computer users to determine the nature of any problems they encounter.
• Investigates, diagnosis and solves computer software and hardware faults.
• Manage hardware and software deployment standards and maintain inventory of all these equipment & software.
• Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.
• Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.
• Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.
• Performs any other relevant task as directed by Section Head Desktop & User Support.

Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:

• 1-3 years of related experience preferably in petrochemical sector.
• Academic background includes a minimum of diploma’s degree in Information Technology.

Engineer – Production

JOB PURPOSE:

Provides technical support on process control and automation to optimize process capability, efficiency, yield, and quality, in compliance with the organization’s EHS system requirements. Monitors and optimizes key plant parameters, including production quality and utility efficiencies. Develops, tracks, and reports Key Performance Indicators to unit management. Responsible for managing small changes in the unit, including minor projects.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Provides engineering and process expertise to execute established targets and objectives, improve process capability, efficiency, yield and quality, within production budget.
• Identifies debottlenecks and profit opportunities in coordination with licensing and technical support groups.
• Responsible for the chemical, catalyst, and additives management process, creating annual consumption projections, updating BOMs, tracking consumption trends, and outlining delivery schedules to maintain minimum inventories.
• Supports projects during plant commissioning and turnaround activities.
• Supports troubleshooting activities arising from changes in process operations or new production plant projects.
• Recommends changes and improvements to Standard Operating Procedures and work methods for specific production areas and/or processes.
• Leads the MOC process for changes in the unit, participates and supports other disciplines in executing MOC’s related to his unit
• Prepares operating and capital expense budget, provides support for capital projects as a liaison between plant project engineering and operations.
• Monitors cost and cost allocations on a monthly basis to ensure compliance with budgeted projections.
• Coordinates with T/A planning to assist in developing shutdown and startup activities related to operational tasks to support T/A objectives.
• Determines product specifications, in collaboration with relevant stakeholders, to meet customers’ requirements and standards. Responds to customer complaints, providing detailed responses regarding root cause and corrective action and inputting all information to CFS.
• Participates in HAZOP/LOPA review.
• Strictly follows established environmental, health, safety and quality policies and procedures in order to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/services and a responsible environmental attitude.
• Undertakes accountabilities in the operational excellence process as set out in the schedule of responsibilities.
• Contributes to the processes of continuous improvement for the area assigned.
• Performs any other relevant task as directed by Manager Operations.

Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:

3-5 years of related experience preferably in the petrochemical sector.

Academic background includes a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.
