BLNG/EMI – Head of Inspection and Mechanical Engineering (JG02)

Job Description

Purpose of Job
Manage the EMI department in order that it ensures and optimizes the integrity, reliability and availability of BLNG’s static equipment.

Dimensions
Annual Budget
Annual department budget is in the order of B$2.0 million OPEX.

Subordinates
4 direct reports within a department of 17 Inspection, Corrosion and Mechanical Engineering personnel.

Others
Up to 8 contractor personnel

Principal Accountabilities
• Authorize and control expenditure in line with the BLNG Manual of Authorities.
• Develop and maintain corrosion & inspection strategies for static equipment within BLNG
• Ensure BLNG’s HSSE principles are established/maintained within the EMI department and its Business Partners.
• Develop and execute mechanical static inspection plans and TAR plans within BLNG.
• As TA2 (Technical Authority Level 2) for Inspection and Mechanical Static Engineering, provide technical input and approval, when required, to BLNG asset holders including BSP assets within the BLNG fence, the LPG bottling plant, and BLNG Project organizations.
• Provide input and when necessary approvals to BLNG’s TPC, MOC, OMEGA PIMS and other relevant processes.
• Provision and update of EMI procedures, work instructions and audit plans.
